I told the dealership that Nissan customer service told me to go to the dealer and ask for the erratic volume knob update(I never spoke to anyone for Nissan customer service lol). But a few weeks later I called and lied to them saying I called Nissan Customer service about my radio issue.

When the updates first came out I ask my dealership about it but referring it to as the Update to fix the Android Auto and they gave me the run around about it being my phone (which is the newest phone out being the Note 20Ultra) or the countless number of cables and all that bs. Just updated my 2019 Nissan Rouge after a year of the dropout problem. There is a new section in the settings dedicated to just wifi updates and the wifi menu now says it's for "software updates"! Also it does add OTA wifi updates this time for real.

Don't even mention android auto honestly, just say the controls have been erratic and lagging when changing volume you will be eligible. This TSB will allow them to perform the update and get paid for the labor by nissan. That's the Service bulletin for the 2019-2020 Altima and 2019-2020 murano that is for an erratic volume Knob. You have to be sure to reference NTB20-046a. If you just say you want the 0910 android auto TSB then yes that's been removed and they won't do anything.

Part of the fix for the erratic knob is to update the screen control unit which then puts you on the 0912 software update that just so happens to also fix android auto. The workaround is you have to do the new Service bulletin that is actually for a erratic volume control issue. The one for 0910 doesn't exist for any model other than 2019 sentra. they just asked whats happening and there you go.not even 30mns they told me they'll fix it.Īnd btw i filed a complaint against my primary dealership for not doing the fix through BBB we'll see what will happen it really depends on the dealership if they would do the update tho. its not my problem if nissan is not going to pay them or if its true or not. to me thats B.S because im under warranty and they should deliver that warranty to me. and for that reason they said if the update will not fix my problem "Nissan" wont pay them.

after battling with my dealership i have come decided to bring my car to a different dealership to do the update because they don't want to do so. btw all trims have the same software version.i have a 2020 SR and i got updated to 0912 too. so i finally got an update for my head unit.
